Note

I draw a lot. But, it’s been over 35 years since I’ve painted. So with some wonderful encouragement and inspiration from and some of the Visual Artists, Writers and Interdisciplinary Artists here on subby — I decided to paint!

I woke up about a week ago feeling like I feel like painting! An early morning Summer rain was the inspiration (watercolour!) and the natural day light was good. I knew I had a few small canvases and some various paints and drawing materials if I needed. And all I needed was some awesome music and Viola!

It all felt very natural organic, fun and fulfilling.

I enjoyed the results and I encourage anyone to just go for it!

And if you need a partner, however remote in terms of physical locale, just say the word! and we’ll arrange for a time period to paint! AND to share our results with each other. Perhaps even form a Painting Club? That would be fun!

I cannot wait to paint again — this week!

Painting is very Spiritual. And Healing.

Creator’s Note: Currently chillin n watchin The Andy Warhol Diaries on Neckflips and truly — It is Marvelous! And very moving. Gorgeously edited, paced snd designed, this Warhol documentary is instantly my fav on the subject (Absolut Warhola 2001, dir Mucha is in a class by itself) and I highly recommend it to Warhol fans, Artists and Arts & Culture Mavens of ALL stripes as it goes to great lengths to dive deeper into Warhol: The Very Human, Emotional and Soulful Living Artist — and the dynamic personal and cultural context he was moving in. The vintage archival film footage alone is worth this compelling joyride — and vibrant Art Celebration!

Curiously, there was one missed opportunity.

Though they did not fail to show clips of Andy creating Art on the Commodore Amiga 1000 in 1985, they somehow did not show his actual hand working with the mouse. Those specific moments are documented in the actual footage of the event — and it is profound and moving to see Andy Warhol actually physically touch and psychically link up with the Future — and our current Now.

I wanted to celebrate that Moment with this lil piece of experimental animation and selected soundtrack.

I present this eye candy here for your amusement.
